ZTE Announces 2015 Consumer Electronics Show Device Lineup and New Focus on Mobile Internet
ZTE USA, the fourth largest smartphone manufacturer in the U.S. and second largest in the no-contract market*, announced its plans for the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prior to CES, on January 5, ZTE will host an invite-only press conference to reveal new devices and announce its latest innovations and company news. From January 6 to 9, the company will showcase an array of flagship devices at CES that reflect ZTE’s 2015 focus to create new consumer experiences for connecting to the mobile internet.
“As more consumers are using connected devices in their lives, the bigger the demand is on device makers and carriers to create seamless if not more personalized experience,” said Lixin Cheng, chairman and CEO of ZTE USA. “We are making significant improvements in user experiences through our Consumer Experience Unit and consumer interests will be at the heart of everything we imagine, build and deliver in 2015.”
At the ZTE booth, located in South Hall 3 of the Las Vegas Convention Center, CES attendees will have the opportunity to tryout the latest devices that show ZTE is already on its way to designing better experiences. Specifically, the Star 2 and nubia Z7 smartphones to be shown will feature ZTE’s latest customizable user interface and voice assistant – the industry’s first system-level voice solution. Other devices on display will include the wearables, accessories, media streaming devices, mobile broadband products and machine-to-machine telematics.
Attendees can also expect a lineup of appearances from NBA legend players, Clyde Drexler, Calvin Murphy and Adonal Foyle. Clyde Drexler, named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History, will join ZTE’s press conference to help launch the latest devices and be available for meet-and-greets at CES along with Calvin Murphy and Adonal Foyle. Ongoing activities with the NBA are part of ZTE becoming the official smartphone of the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets and New York Knicks in October 2014.
On January 7, ZTE USA chairman and CEO, Lixin Cheng, will join the CES panel, “Wireless Technologies to Watch.” The panel, moderated by Sue Marek, Editor-in-Chief of FierceWireless, brings together industry pioneers to discuss which wireless technologies will have the best chance for success, and how they will impact wireless communications, consumer behavior and the mobile industry.
