New Delhi, Delhi, India
Anglo Schools International Services (ASIS) - a new federation of British Boarding Schools, is organizing a “Meet the Principal” Lecture Tour in eight major cities within the country from January 20th – February 5th, 2014. The tour is to educate people about ASIS and the UK education system, highlighting how a new approach to schooling is needed if young Indians are to prosper on the world stage.
The theme for the lecture tour is ‘Creating Schools of Warm-Heartedness – the 21st Century Vision for Education’. Mr. David Boddy, ASIS Principal, is one of the UK’s leading speakers on educational futures. He will argue that with 7 out of 10 future jobs for today’s youngsters not yet invented, a new vision for educating tomorrow’s leaders is going to be needed. This involves developing social and emotional intelligence skills, not just academic ones.
This will be the first time that there is one such platform where parents and students can directly address the Foreign Educationist and have their questions clarified. Mr. David will explain to parents how changes in the international job market are forcing changes to the educational curriculum, teaching methodologies and approaches to university applications.
The Tour starts with his first Lecture in New Delhi on January 20th, 2013 at The Park, Parliament Street, New Delhi.
