Zaheer Khan and Yuvraj Singh dropped from the 4th test Squad against England

After two successive defeats from guest England on home soil, Indian cricket team selectors have made their mind for some changes. In regards, they dropped pace bowler Zaheer Khan and all-rounder Yuvraj Singh due to their poor performances during the series. Apart from that Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is also dropped out from the squad, who was also not playing in the 3rd test at Kolkata. Replacing these three, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, Delhi pace bowler Parvinder Awana and leg-spinner Piyush Chawla will be joining the team.

Zaheer Khan has not been playing good throughout the series with just only four wickets till now. In the 3rd test where England pace bowlers Steven Finn and James Anderson are cracking Indian batting line-up, Zaheer was able to take only 1 wicket in his 31 over spell. Replacing him, either Ashok Dinda or Parvinder Awana will play in Nagpur test on 13 December. Parvinder Awana had shown good performances during recent Ranji Trophy matches and also among the top three wicket takers in the last season. Replacing Yuvraj, Ravindra Jadeja (2012 IPL’s dollar boy) is coming with his all-rounder performance. Piyush Chawla has been included in the 13 member squad and may come in as a replacement to Rabi Chandran Aswin or Pragyan Ojha, if the team hadn’t planned of taking three fulltime spinners.

As the team is finalized now, so we only can expect that it performs as to the expectance of Indian cricket fans and fight this do or die situation to keep its head leveled with the England team. Indian cricket team selectors have also announced the team for upcoming T20 matches between India and England on 20 and 22 December respectively. Here is the squad list:
