How to Achieve the “Change”

Most of us, most of the times in our lives, want to change so many things about ourselves. It may be our procrastination, it may be our eating habits, our life style anything that we want to change about ourselves, for our own betterment, but still find it hard to do so. What are the things that are blocking us to achieve the change? Let’s look at them.

  1. So many years of accumulations like doubt, failures, poor choices, and lack of inaction all make us feel like we’re stuck in life and don’t know how to change. We want a life full of freedom and choices, but we are stuck with our old life pattern. The solution, we need to change the mind set.
  2. There is no instant solution for you if you want to stop taking alcohol or want to become a vegetarian over night. We need to exercise our will and do all that it takes. Core factor, patience and will power are necessary to achieve the change.
  3. Consistency is the important factor in change. You have to do constant practice to achieve the desired change. Doing exercise for a day or two and following diet chart for a few days won’t fetch the results. Efforts have to be consistent and in the proper direction, till we achieve the desired change.
  4.  Most of the times we fail to achieve the desired change, because, we think, we can’t. We doubt. On the contrary if we strongly believe that we can change and it is possible for us to become whatever we want to be. There is nothing in this world that can stop us.
  5.  Practical aspect is very important in change. Start working in the direction of change right away and don’t procrastinate. You can take guidance from anyone but you need to start working on yourself. You want to go to airport, all right, but first you need to get up from the chair you are sitting and start moving, got it. 
  6. Find out one strong reason as to why you want that change in your life. If you want anything badly enough, you will do whatever it takes. You’re willing to make those sacrifices. Imprint that reason in your mind, when in doubt or when posed by temptation, think of it and you will never step back.
